What to Expect:

Temperatures are variable by late September and it can be rainy and cool one day, only to be followed by an 70F day the next. The leaves are starting to turn by the middle of September and you'll see color appearing consistently around the area.  Foliage season really peaks into the second week in October, around Columbus Day weekend - the busiest weekend of the year. Everything is busy so if you're planning on leaf-peeping that weekend, book well in advance. With warmer days and cooler nights, bring layers!  Mid November sees the start of the winter season and the run up to the holidays!

Ideas:
• Get in a last round or two of Golf at reduced rates
• Look for end of season bargains in our many antique stores
• Get out into the countryside along one of the many scenic drives - itineraries available
• Shop for holiday gifts at local boutiques, galleries and outlets in the High Country
