Celtic Festival
- Featuring Celtic bands and crafts, food, dancing, kid's
activities and more. The Guilde of St. Andrew of
North Carolina recreates the ambiance, intrigue, and
pageantry of the 16th century noble and royal life, with
particular emphasis on the Court of Mary Stuart, Queen of
Scots.
Art in the Park
- Kicking off the second Saturday of May and running through
October, this nationally known event has attracted thousands
for the fine art and handcrafted treasures produced by over
100 juried artisans and crafts masters over the past 45
years. While you're here, enjoy the Blowing Rock
Gallery Stroll on Friday evening.
Merlefest - The
Americana Music Celebration!
MerleFest
began in the spring of 1988 and has grown from two flat-bed
trailers and 4,000 attendees to 13 stages with more than
81,500 festival participants. Doc & Merle Watson’s
musical style and heritage have been cited many times as the
primary reason why musical diversity has become a hallmark
of MerleFest. The eclectic blending of style and tradition
remains evident in the selection of artists who have
performed at the festival.
